I was raised in a
small farming community in Saskatchewan, Canada. My parents instilled
a strong sense of community, fellowship and service that has stayed
with me throughout my life. I learned very early that in order to
make it in this world you have to help others and be able to accept
help from others as well.
I chose Psychiatric
Nursing as my career when I was 16 years old. A school counselor
gave me a pamphlet describing nursing choices. For as long as I can
remember I wanted to be a nurse and Psychiatric Nursing seemed to be
the path that really called to me. I have worked full time in the
Mental Health Field as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) since
1972. As with any career or job there have been ups and downs but
overall I have never regretted my choice and as I look back over my
career, I am so grateful that I had the good sense to follow my
calling. I have learned as much from the people I have helped over
the years as they have learned from me.
I have always been
interested in learning new skills and being in business for myself.
Working from home has always been one of my goals. When the internet
became available in our community in 1992, I was very excited and I
signed up right away.
Intuitively I knew that
the internet offered great possibilities and opportunity that had
never existed before for the average person. What I didn’t know was
how to go about it! I started on a path of learning that I am still
on today. Marketing online, like any other career, requires a
commitment to learning and putting the knowledge into action.
I spent the next 8 years
trying my hand at various businesses, most unsuccessfully, and trying
to learn the secrets of online business. I could see many people with
the apparent success that I wanted but it always seemed to elude me.
I had almost decided to give up my hopes of a successful online
business when I was introduced to Tom Prendergast’s Veretekk
Marketing System in 2003. That is when my online career really began.
Tom has been my online mentor ever since, just as he is for anyone
using his system. Finally, I had found someone “really” willing to
share the secrets to success on the internet and provided the
necessary tools for me to build a successful home based business from
the comfort of my home!
There are "secrets" to
learn, and "actions" to take to keep moving to the next level in
business and in life. The greatest secret that I learned is that
working online doesn't mean you are working alone. The people, just
like you, that I have met along the way have been my greatest
inspiration.
It has not always been
easy, but it has been fun! Raising a family, working full time as an
RPN, and working online part-time has presented many challenges along
the way. Finding the balance in my life that allows me to pursue my
interests has been the greatest challenge and the greatest
reward.
I am now a member of a
world class team of Veretekk
Trainers and entrepreneurs dedicated to helping others learn the secrets of the
internet!
